Propaganda is suicidal, beware of it!

Ignorance is bliss is a famous quote which I had read in my early school days, but it is not so every time a fact which I have learnt through my long experience of life. I have seen ignorant people falling in the vicious trap of Asaram like dhongi babas to be finally disappointed. I have also experienced Congress exploiting name of Mahatma Gandhi without following even a single step of his many sacred footsteps. Same thing I can say about Kashmiri separatists also who turned ‘paradise’ in to a burning hell by exploiting the innocence and ignorance of their followers in the name of Azadi without involving their own sons and daughters in the ‘sacred mission’. And the outcome in all three cases is destruction and devastation only. So whereas Asaram destroyed faith of his crores of blind followers Congress which ruled the country for past sixty years is now gasping for existence by depending on its one time rivals. Similarly, Kashmiri leaders have brought destruction of nearly three generations without achieving anything and the examples are many.
Some of my vocal face book friends have been demonizing India as hell and glorifying Pakistan as heaven without knowing the facts. Since India is a democratic country I have no objection as to what one perceives about its own country, what I feel concerned about is that their perception is based upon the opium loaded propaganda and not on facts. “Speak a lie ten times and people start believing it as truth”, is an old proverb which in other words can be described as misleading propaganda.
If reports of Pakistan Human Rights Commission HRCP are to be believed not to think of strong action against rapists there does not even exist legislation on this heinous crime in many of its provinces with the result that nearly all the accused are set free due to lack of any legal procedure. No doubt death penalty is awarded in Pakistan but by local jirgas only that orders lynching of the accused without providing him a chance to prove his innocence. In some cases, even mothers and sisters or wives and daughters of the accused are subjected to a gang rape by the members of the jirga.
“According to HRCP, in 2017 alone over 4750 cases of sex abuse were reported in Pakistan ( population 20 crores) as compared to 7000 in India last year (population 140 crores which is 7 times higher than Pakistan)”. It also reveals that 11children are gang- raped in Pakistan every day. So by making a comparative analysis exact picture can be found out if India is a country of rapes or Pakistan wins that ugly title. Had the population of Pakistan too been 140 crores the number of rapes during 2015 would have been 4750 x 7 = 33250 and the figure of child abuse would have been 11x 7 = 77/ day which means 6/2 minutes which is far higher than India (1/ 2 minutes). Also, according to internationally acclaimed women rights activist, Asma Jahangir chairperson of Women Action Forum of Pakistan and co founder of HRCP, over 72 % of victims are gang raped in police custody only.
Also as per reports of world human rights organization OHCHR rate of rapes in Pakistan is 28/ 1lakh and in India it is just 1.4/ per lakh.
I am not presenting these figures to blame and sham Pakistan as my friends feel pleasure in accusing India my effort on the contrary is to educate my innocent fellow brethren who have been deliberately made to believe that Pakistan is heaven and India is hell.
Just think Kashmiris have lost three generations in the name of freedom, but nothing is coming out. Why? A senior Pak journalist has perhaps given a befitting answer! “Pakistan is exploiting Hurriyat to destabilize India; Hurriyat is exploiting Kashmiris to make huge fortunes for their generations while NC, PDP are using their innocent voters in the name of autonomy and self rule to become their rulers. All are fighting for one aim but still there is no ray of light on the other side of the dark tunnel because nobody is actually interested in the common goal- Azadi “, he opines. The ignorant fed with opium quoted propaganda will not agree but let me draw their attention towards another misleading propaganda also that whereas on one hand people of Kashmir give shelter to the ‘freedom fighters’ on the other hand same people become informers and ensure elimination of their own ‘holy warriors’.
Another example of Kashmiri leaders exploiting their voters is that while Sajad Lone enjoys power as a minister from BJP quota his own sister a lawyer in India’s Supreme Court, Shabnam Lone spits venom against India and BJP on national channels. Have my innocent Kashmiri brethren and their so called supporters elsewhere ever tried to think independently about the real face of ‘jehad?
I certainly do not subscribe to the idea of innocent Kashmiris alone to be victim of misleading propaganda, such element in fact exists in other religions and regions also which gets easily carried away by false information fed to them on regular basis thus pushing them in to a state of chaos and confusion.
In fact crimes like rapes and child abuse are a social evil hence cannot be attributed to any caste, creed religion or nationality and should be fought jointly. By labeling rape like crime with any religion or region only strengthens the rogues a fact which is not in the overall interest of humanity. So beware of them!
