Blunders of Rahul Congress

Congress did not blunder in past only its record of repeating blunders is also not straight. After losing people’s trust in 2014 when its strength in the Lok Sabha dipped down to 44, it instead of doing introspection began opposing Modi government for its ‘failure’ just after few months of taking charge thus becoming a laughing stock not only in India but world across as well. Adopting a policy of do the sin and put the onus on Modi, Congress continued a misleading campaign by holding him responsible for the sins that it had itself committed in the past.

“Farmers are committing suicides and Modi is silent; soldiers are protesting and Modi is silent; poor are becoming poorer and Modi is silent; unemployment is on the rise and Modi is silent; Vijay Malia, Neerarv Modi, Mehul Choksi and Lalit Modi like offenders are running away from the country and Modi is silent; law and order situation in the country is worsening and Modi is silent; facebook data is being leaked and Modi is silent; papers are being leaked and Modi is silent; rape incidents are increasing and Modi is silent etc etc.” just forgetting that ‘yeh public hei sab janti hei’.

We all know that Lal Bahadur Shastri‘s slogan of ‘Jai Jawan Jai Kisan’ given in 1965 was materialized by Modi government in 2015 when it sanctioned decades old demand of one rank one pension; launched crop insurance scheme in 2016 and sanctioned an impressive MSP for the welfare of the farmers.

Modi government also unearthed huge bungling committed by Vijay Malya, Neerav Modi, Mahul Choksi, Lalit Modi, Jaiprakash Associates, Rose Valley chit fund like economic offenders that had been committing crime not only during Congress regime but also with active connivance of Congress ministers. Modi government not only confiscated their properties but of Dawood Ibrahaim also a step that only a daredevil like Modi can dare to take. This government has also succeeded in locating them in the outside countries where they are hiding themselves and has already initiated result oriented steps for their extradition.

Modi government has also succeeded in unearthing and booking the notorious nexus behind infamous Paper leak scandal that had been working and flourishing for past over a decade. Modi government also took strong steps to curb the menace of mass copying to ensure justice to the studious and meritorious students.

Modi and Yogi also took strong action against goons, arms smugglers and terrorists by giving free hand to police and army.

Gareebi hatao and empowerment of Dalits were also Congress slogan but how much gareebi has come down and how much empowerment of Dalits has been done during past so many years of their rule their being on the roads is a proof. Modi government is also blamed for increasing unemployment, but people are well aware that the problem is a chronic one and the huge backlog cannot be cleared so easily. Problem is not only of providing jobs the real problem is to pay the regular salary to the employees that cannot be done without sufficient money in the government coffers. For this government is initiating economic reforms; is increasing the ambit of tax payers; is auctioning properties of economic offenders and is bringing foreign investment a process which may take few years. For creating government jobs the government is also mulling to reduce retirement age and ending extension policy.

Congress must realize that posing a daily question to Modi government is unacceptable to the general public. Had this not been the case BJP would not have been capturing one after another state and Congress losing its deposits everywhere which does not augur well.

Young Rahul Gandhi therefore should hold breath; wait for Modi government to actually commit mistakes and then pounce. Simply opposing him for opposition sake will serve no purpose except damaging his own prospects and image further more. Nation desperately needs healthy national Opposition; sometime Congress and sometime BJP a reality that Congress must realize well before going into state of coma.

Unfortunately for Congress it has made its policy to dub everyone as a BJP agent who so ever does not coincide with its adopted suicidal policies. Even those senior politicians like me who sacrificed their youthful life for making Congress strong without getting any personal gains are not spared thereby pushing thousands of party leaders to the wall. Whose loss it is BJP’s or that of Congress?

Yes I am a Modi fan as I was of Sanjay Gandhi and Indira Gandhi who like Modi had also the guts to take hard decisions in national interest. Today’s Congress unfortunately has become a bunch of sycophants whose aim is to foist an incapable and reluctant leadership on the country which people do not accept. I strongly believe that if Congress really wants a comeback, it should first bet a senior and serious leader as a PM candidate and then raise public interest issues instead of mere posing questions which people have already found the answers of.
