Real Fekus of Indian Politics
BY: RANBIR MANHAS PUBLISHED ON MAY 31, 2020
Immediately after Narindra Modi assumed the office of Prime Minister of India, Congress leaders began a vilification campaign to demean him believing that once this selfless regional leader succeeds in entrenching himself in national politics, it would become increasingly difficult for them to stage a comeback. Even before that by slapping all sorts of slurs including ‘Neech Modii’, Chaiwalla Modii’, ‘Maut ka Sudagar Modi ’, and ‘Gangu Teli Modi’ , Rahul’s Gaali Brigade had tried to demolish Modi’s public image. However, when all their designs boomeranged and people of the country placed Modi at the highest political pedestal Congress leaders built new narratives like ‘jhoota’, ‘Feku’, ‘jumlaebaaz’, ‘Chor’ and many more to defame him. For this, they cooked stories as if, Modi had broken his promises of crediting Rupees 15 lac in every account and providing government job to two crore unemployed youth. But whenever they were asked to prove the authenticity of their allegations they looked indifferently. An enquiry to know facts about these allegations, conducted by BOOM reveals: ’There was no promise of crediting any money in any account, what Modi had actually said while addressing an election rally in Chatisgarh’s Kanker, on November 7, 2013 was that, “Indian crooks have deposited so much black money in foreign banks which if recovered could provide every poor in India a sum of Rupees 15-20 lac.” Although Congress could not prove its allegation about Modi’s promise as true, a report published in 2018 (Times Now-07-Oct-2019) confirmed that Indian money amounting to Rupees 300 lakh crores stood deposited in Swiss Bank alone to recover which hectic legal efforts were going on.
Congress also could not prove that PM Modi had ever promised to provide two crore government jobs. “ Modi had promised to provide self-employment to two crore unemployed youths by way of providing guarantee free loan under PM’s Mudra Yojna and that the target stood since achieved .” Congress leaders will never accept these reports but then whose responsibility it becomes to substantiate their allegations if not their own, which they have failed to do so for?
This was the truth of Congress’ manufactured jhoot , now let’s list its own promises which never saw light of the day.
Congress had promised equal social and economic rights to the nation by unconstitutionally incorporating words, ‘Socialism’ and ‘Secularism’ in national emblem, but what fate these slogans met here is an example of that.
Secularism means: “Separating religion from the state and keeping religion out of the public education system”. But what happened was exactly opposite. “Number of Madrassas that preach Islamic education, was 88 in 1947 grew up to 5 lacs by 2003”, claims Prof. Mushirul Haq. Similar observation is made by Dr. Arjumand Ara in her insightful essay, Madrassas and Making of Muslim Identity. “The number of Madrassas had swelled up to over 50 lacs in 2011”. Yet another observation reads like this:
“If minority institutions are given free hand to promote religion, it would result in denial of admission to such schools based on religion”. Justice, A. Mushtaqe Mohammed, of Kerala High Court. (PTI, 25-1-2020).
Above are the observations of Muslim scholars and Honorable High Court, now let’s see secularism through Congress prism. “Muslims must have the first claim on country’s resources so that benefits of development reach them equitably”, says PM, Dr. Manmohan Singh (Congress MP), in a seminar organized by National Development Council held on December 09-2006.(TOI).
Now let’s look word -Socialism in Congress mirror.
According to the CIA World Factbook, 1 % and 10 % rich in India own 58.4 % and 80.70 % country’s wealth respectively. Also, according to senior Congress leader, Raashid Alvi, 40 to 50 crore migratory laborers still existed in India. The two statements explode Congress truth compelling one to ask if this party was sincere then their cherished slogans wouldn’t have met a tragic fate as Congress had ruled the country for most of the post-independence era.
Another promise that PM Nahru had made to the country against the wish of his Home Minister was, “Article 370 will slowly wear out”, but what happened of chacha’s promise, except chamchas everybody knows.
Nehru had also adopted electoral democracy against the advice of Subhash Chander Bose, but what happened to that promise is also a well-known fact. Not to think of providing democracy to the country, it could not take roots even in Congress party. And there are hundreds of more fake promises that Congress made to the nation but, “yeh kahani fir sahi ”.
Now let’s discuss Modi and his party’s actual promises. 1. BJP had promised the nation to make Jammu and Kashmir an integral part of India and they did so by abrogating Article 370, which was a big stumbling block in state’s total integration with rest of the country. 2. BJP had promised to resolve Ayodhya Dispute and Modi resolved the same legally and constitutionally. 3. BJP had promised to provide justice to Muslim women on Triple Talaq and Modi government met this promise also. 4. BJP had promised to settle OROP and MSP like long pending issues and Modi government resolved them in its very first spell.
So, when record about the promises of both Congress and BJP; and their accomplishment has been made straight, let the readers themselves judge as to who the real Fekus of Indian politics are and who are not!
