In a vibrant celebration of local talent and culture, Mahotsav 2023 which unfolded as a two-day mega event organized by LEAD – LJK on 9th and 10th December at Jammu, left an indelible mark on the socio-cultural landscape of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir.

Featuring over 100 stalls, the event has proven to be an transcendent platform for local entrepreneurs, providing them a distinctive opportunity to exhibit their talents and creativity. From traditional hand-woven textiles to delicate handicrafts, from world famous Basholi Paintings and Pashmina to famous Bhaderwah Rajmah, the festival has transformed into a dynamic marketplace fostering economic growth and cultivating the entrepreneurial ethos.

One of the highlights of Mahotsav 2023 was the impressive display of the rich musical and cultural heritage of Ladakh, Jammu and Kashmir. Attendees were treated to a captivating array of performances that showcased the diverse traditions and customs of these three regions. The venue resonated with the melodies of traditional folk music, touched the hearts of audience.

The Native artists, both seasoned and emerging, took center stage, presenting a visual and auditory feast. Dance performances, reflected the unique cultural identities of each region, with vibrant costumes and intricate choreography mesmerizing the spectators. Another captivating and mesmerizing feature that touched everyone’s hearts was the presentation of silver coins to the courageous women who had endured the intense sacrifice of their loved ones for the nation. This poignant tribute also evoked a powerful memory of the sacrifices made by those heroes who kept our nation safe.
