Is PDP-BJP Alliance Unholy?

These days, a hectic debate is going on in the county on two issues: release of stone pelters and registering of FIR against Army in Kashmir. Whereas Cong-NC combine has been blaming the BJP-PDP government for its double speak, Media terms these decision as a set back to the moral of the Army that has been fighting Pak sponsored terrorism in most hostile conditions. “Army and other security forces arrest the stone pelters and catch militants by putting their lives to risk, but the government orders their release with utmost ease”, it blames and they are justified.
As for as allegations of Cong-NC combine are concerned, both of them have been unanimously calling PDP-BJP coalition as unholy ever since this government came in to being in Jammu and Kashmir it is another thing though that both of them use divergent yard sticks to blame the ‘unholy’ alliance.
Surprisingly whereas, Congress blames BJP for entering in to an alliance with an anti-national party for attaining power, the National Conference accuses PDP for joining hands with ‘communal’ BJP forgetting that both these so-called secular and nationalist paties too had become part of the unholy alliance — Congress with the ‘ anti-national PDP in 2002-3 and NC with anti-Muslim BJP in the same period by joining Union government which thoroughly exposes the appetite for power of the NC-Cong combine in the eyes of common people in their respective constituencies.
The fact of the matter is this that both Congress and NC, like a fish out of water are gasping for life and in this process they have not heisted to receive active support of the separatist leaders who have been regularly tying to create problems for the State government by using innocent stone pelters for targeting the security personal engaged in a task of bringing peace in the troubled State. Just think why the incidents of stone pelting began after coming up of BJP-PDP government in Jammu and Kashmir if not the policy of “Disturb peace, create trouble and then fish in the troubled waters”?
No doubt, the Hurriyat Conference has no interest in power politics, but it is using Congress-National Conference combine to take revenge from the State government which according to it has facilitated Central government’s tough action against the separatists and terrorists. What political parties are doing is their compulsion, but how people of Jammu and Kashmir should respond is a matter of my concern.
As for people of Jammu, my question to them is that should they support Congress which on one hand demoralizes Indian soldiers by calling them as ‘gali ke gunday’ and on the other hand plays soft on separatists, or back BJP which has shown guts to deal with Pakistan and its stooges in Kashmir with a heavy hand? And my question to people of Kashmir is that do they want to destabilize peace in the Valley and create conditions conducive for National Conference whose leaders have always been exposed for their hood winking duplicity—become part of BJP government and then bombard Pakistan, and calls the same BJP as anti Muslim when NC is in opposition.
Let’s not ignore the fact that all governments have a prerogative and constitutional right to make political decisions believing that they will not use this right to harm the national interest. “If releasing of 90,000 war prisoners of Pakistan arrested by Indian Amy duing Indo-Pak war of 1971 in Dhaka was not anti-national for Congress, how could release of stone pelters be termed by Congress as anti- national? As for as registering a case against Amy is concerned, although it is in bad taste, it is a routine matter for our valiant soldiers who cannot be demoralized or cowed down by such actions.
Just think if we can give tens of years to Congress and NC to deal with Kashmir problem then why can’t we give few years to the PDP-BJP coalition also which promises of bringing the derailed Kashmir situation back on the rails?
